This blog post is for all boys making their Holy Communion on Saturday 11th or 18th. You will receive your red sash for Communion on the Thursday or Friday before your Communion Saturday. Included with the sash is an explanation on how to put the sash on. We need sashes back in school on Thursday 23rd May. You will also find a red tie in the envelope with 2013 on it. This is yours to wear on Saturday and keep as a momento.

On Saturday 11th May or 18th May is our First Holy Communion. Do not forget to practice your hymns!

We will be going over to Church next week and the week after so that we can prepare for our special day.

These are the prayers after Communion that we will share. We hope that you are learning them!

1. Lord Jesus I love and adore you
You’re a special friend to me.
Welcome, Lord Jesus, O welcome
Thank you for coming to me.

2. Thank you, Lord Jesus, O thank you
For giving yourself to me!
Make me strong to show your love
Wherever I may be

3. Be near me Lord Jesus,
I ask you to stay
Close by me for ever
And love me I pray.
Bless all of the children
In your loving care
And bring us to Heaven
To live with you there.

Well done Year 3

Our Visit to Alton Castle was fantastic. Well done Year 3! Scroll down to see where we went! We all had chance to play team games, share a mediation, have a picnic and make some art work. We completed our retreat day with a prayer service where we thought about the feeding of the 5000. The staff there made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Mrs Dwyer, Mrs Williams, Mr Moore and Mrs Fletcher  for helping us on our special trip! We will post pictures of our other activities on the life channel. What was the best part of your day?
