Keep learning your times tables!

 

By now you will have been told which times tables you need to be focussing on at the moment.  (For now we are concentrating on x2 x5 x10 - and don't forget what happens every time you x0!) 

We have discussed how times tables are important for all areas of maths and the need for Rapid Recall - this is where you need to be able to recognise a tables fact and answer quickly.

You will be tested on your set of times tables on Monday mornings during maths, to check your progress.

SCHOOL TRIP!

Our first Year 3 trip has been booked and you will have been sent home with letters.
On Tuesday 14th October, we will be spending the day at Ash End House Farm.  It fulfills part of our Science and Geography curriculum content.

We will spend the day with a guide from the farm and will be sure to meet some 'interesting animal characters'!  Who do you think we will see there?  I wonder if we will get to meet Wilbur and some of his friends from the barn?

A packed lunch and sensible outdoor clothes will be needed, but we will remind you nearer the time about this!

Literacy - Charlotte's Web

Over the next few weeks in Literacy we will be using the story of Charlotte's Web to improve our writing in many different ways.  We have already watched the film and have started to create word banks to describe the barn.
