Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina has been elected as Pope Francis I.

The new pope will be the first pope to come from from South America.

The news was greeted with joy by thousands in St Peter's Square

The new pontiff will replace Benedict XVI who stood down last month for health reasons

Next week we will make our Confession...

Year three will make their second confession on Thursday in Church. A special congratulations to those children who will also make their First Confession on this day.

Coming up in RE

This week in RE we will look at the important words in the Eucharistic prayer.

This will help us get ready for our First Holy Communion.

In Literacy we will be looking at the events of Valiant and talking about what makes a good adventure story. We will go on to plan the sequel to the film. What might happen?

Well Done Father David

Today 4H and Mrs Girling led a special assembly about Faith and Father David's 25th years of being a priest. We are very lucky that he has spent 12 years of that time in the parish of Sacred Heart and Holy Souls with us.  This was the special card we made in Year 3 to celebrate this. It shows when we made our First Confession back in November.
