Well done Everyone!

Well done to all the children in year 3,4 and 6 and the Children of the Parish who made their First Holy Communion this morning. You were all fantastic with great reading, singing and reverence. It really has been a very special day!

Maths for this week

This week we will be looking at methods to times and divide.

Why not have a go at this game to help with division facts?

Here are some 'x' problems.

Our target this half term is to look at word problems. Have a go at these and ask the computer to mark them!

Communion Sash

This blog post is for all boys making their Holy Communion on Saturday. You will receive your red sash for Communion on Thursday or Friday. Included with the sash is an explanation on how to put the sash on. We need sashes back in school NEXT Thursday. You will also find a red tie in the envelope with 2011 on it. This is yours to wear on Saturday and keep as a momento.

Any questions? Come and ask Miss Cranmer or Miss Wood

Getting Ready for First Communion

On Saturday is our First Holy Communion. Do not forget to practice your hymns!

We will be going over to Church next week so that we can prepare for our special day.

These are the prayers after Communion that we will share. We hope that you are learning them!

1. Lord Jesus I love and adore you
You’re a special friend to me.
Welcome, Lord Jesus, O welcome
Thank you for coming to me.

2. Thank you, Lord Jesus, O thank you
For giving yourself to me!
Make me strong to show your love
Wherever I may be

3. Be near me Lord Jesus,
I ask you to stay
Close by me for ever
And love me I pray.
Bless all of the children
In your loving care
And bring us to Heaven
To live with you there.

Well done Year 3!

Our Visit to Alton Castle was fantastic. Well done Year 3! Scroll down to see where we went!

We all had chance to have a tour of the castle, share a mediation, play games using team work and make some art work. We completed our retreat day with a prayer service where we thought about the feeding of the 5000. The staff there made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Mrs Aldred, Mrs Dwyer, Mrs Pettigrew, Mr Edwards, Mrs Healy and Miss Hanlon for helping us on our special trip!

We will post pictures of our other activities on the life channel.

This was our view when we had lunch on our trip.
