Science

This week we will look at light and shadows. How does our shadow change throughout the day? How are shadows formed? Why not look at these videos for a headstart?

Prayer

Today we thought about prayer.

We discussed times when we pray, how we pray and where we pray.

Younis said, 'prayer is an opportunity to tell God about our life'.

Sadie said,' prayer is when we spend time on our own with god'.

Piera said ' speak to God in our own special time'.

Campbell said, ' when you feel sad and lonely, speak to God and you will probably feel better!'

Next lesson, we want to think about:

-writing our own special prayers (Taleesha)

-sharing in talk partners about how we pray (Cara)

-knowing how to pray better (Robbie)

Let's see if we can!!

Finding out about Hindu Gods.

We have been doing class work on Hindu Gods. We have created fact files and spent time drawing and painting Gods for our display.

Rangoli Patterns

We have been making rangoli patterns in our Multi-faith fortnight. What do you think of our designs? When are they made?

Our work on Hinduism

This week we will be continuing our work on Hinduism as part of our work multifaith fortnight.

We will find out about some of the important Gods and Goddesses.
What do we call this building? Where do Hindus pray?

Rangoli Patterns

In maths we have been looking at and creating our own rangoli patterns for our display.

The BXL project

Well done to Year 3. Last Friday five children went with Miss Cranmer to Birmingham Council House for a celebration event.
Here we had chance to tell judges about the project we have been running all year making sacramental cards. The judges were very impressed with our business knowledge.
Well done to Miss Trodden and Reception, who won the foundation stage prize.
