Well done 3NS!
Well done and thank you to 3NS for their wonderful assembly about PRAYER, today.
You read and sang so beautifully and we particularly enjoyed hearing the Lord's Prayer in song.
There are many ways in which we can pray - can you remember any of them?
There are many prayers that we use throughout the day and at home. During our time in Year3 we will be learning new prayers as we make our Sacramental preparations.

Surnames A-L - Thursday 9th Oct
Surnames M-Z Thursday 16th Oct
Thank you for your responses to our Parent Consultations Meetings over the next two weeks. It is a great pleasure and opportunity to meet you all and discuss your childs progress so far in Year 3.
Hopefully we have managed to accommodate you all - If you have any last minute changes to meetings then please let us know!
We look forward to a happy and exciting year ahead.
KEEP FIT! - Fit 4 Schools (PE)
This week, our Fit 4 Schools supporters are back in Holy Souls School, to remind us of our personal fitness levels and goals!
3W will be testing their fitness on Tuesday and 3NS will do the same on Friday.
Mr Edwards will be helping Year 3 reach our personal fitness goals during lunchtime on Thursdays - (do you think the teachers need to join you?)!
As ever, make sure your PE kit is in school for PE on Fridays and for any football or basketball activities you take part in after school!
This Whole School PE initiative fits in nicely with our Year 3 Science unit of work on Animals, including Humans
- think about the healthy balanced diets that we need to maintain our bodies and how our body works!
REMEMBER!
We have our Year 3 school trip next week, Tuesday 14th October, to Ash End House Farm, where we may also find out where our food comes from!
(Reminder letters will be sent home at the end of this week).
Our amazing bodies! - the Digestive System (Science)
Wow, our bodies are amazing!
Today we reminded ourselves of the food and nutrients our body needs to grow and stay healthy - can you remember our food groups?
We have now found out what happens to our food once we have enjoyed the delicious flavours and chewed it up! Take a look at the diagram below to remind yourself of the scientific names of the organs our body uses to digest our food and nutrients. Think what is happening the next time you eat your meal!
