Feeding of the 5000




This week we will do some of our RE work and link it to literacy. We will read the story of the Feeding of the 5000 and think about this meal that Jesus shared.

What links are there between this meal and the Eucharistic meal we will be receiving soon?

Year 3 are going on our trip to Alton Castle next Tuesday (1st May).

Don't Forget!



There is a First Holy Communion meeting for all grown ups after school in Church on Thursday. It begins at the end of the school day. If you are making your First Holy Communion, someone needs to attend this meeting. We look forward to seeing you and your grown ups there.

The motto for the games has been revealed - "Inspire a Generation" - and events are being held to mark the countdown to the opening ceremony.
10,500 athletes, 21,000 media people and 8.8 million ticket-holders will be arriving in the capital for the biggest sporting event on the planet.

Road to Emmaus - Playscript



Our next unit in Literacy is playscripts.


We will be writing a playscript about Jesus appearing on the Road to Emmaus. Do you know the story already? What do you already know?

READING -

Must

WRITING

Must
I can use capital letters and full stops when writing a sentence.

I can use commas to separate items in a list.

I can use a comma when I add detail to a sentence with a clause at the end.
